Great news for passionate and committed young people who have a love of film!

The BFI Film Academy is aimed at those who are interested in pursuing a career in the film and media industry, whether as a script writer, cinematographer, actor, set designer or director (the list is endless) you do not have to be currently studying film or media to apply.

Taunton Live Arts Fringe & Pride 2020

Taunton Live Arts Fringe will take place throughout Taunton Deane during the summer months of June, July and August 2020. This will include the Big Saturday Free Festival Day in Vivary Park on the 18th July 2020 in include Taunton’s first Pride Parade through Town.

Shared Reading Groups in Somerset

Poland Celebrates 100 Years of Independence 11 th November 2018

11th November is a special day known to many countries. It is mainly known as Remembrance Day and Armistice Day - a day when the World War I came to an end and a day of remembering the horrors of war and those who fought and died in it. However, in Poland it is also known as a day when the country regained its independence and in 2018 Poles are celebrating 100 years of freedom.

2017 Chinese New Year - Year of the Fire Rooster

IT’S one of the most colourful events in the calendar, when people take to the streets both in China and across the globe.
Unlike our festivities, which always take place at midnight between December 31 and January 1, Chinese New Year is a movable celebration.

New Year Carols' Concert at St.George's Church in Taunton

On January the 1st 2017 in a beautiful setting of St. Georges Church (Billet Street) a New Year Nativity Play took place, organized by talented children from Weston Super Mare. It was held after a mass.

Polish Film – The Cruise (Rejs in Polish)

The Chojna Committee (part of the Sherborne Douzelage) proudly presents the Polish Film ‘The Cruise’ at 6.45pm for 7.15pm. Tickets £7 from the Tourist Information Office, Winstone’s Bookshop or on the door. Profts in aid of Student Exchanges between Sherborne and Chojna (Poland).
