St Nicholas Day Party

Fantastic children's party was organised in Victoria Park Community Centre by Diversity Voice on 7th December to celebrate together St Nicholas Day.

The real St. Nicholas was a Bishop who lived in the fourth century in a place called Myra in Asia Minor (now called Turkey). He was also a very kind man and had a reputation for helping the poor and giving secret gifts to people who needed them.

Inspired by Santa Clause story we at Diversity Voice wanted to share Christmas joy with the children of Somerset.

The event brought together nearly 150 people from several countries. Kids enjoyed music, dancing, games as well as art and crafts activities.

According to tradition children were given gifts personally from Santa Claus and his Elves, does not matter if they were well-behaved or not 😉

The children visited Santa’s grotto and received a gift from St Nicholas.

For all the guests we had sweet treats, snacks and drinks. Thank you to the Polish grocery shop Fresh in Bridgwater for their donation of food for our international buffet.

Children and parents left with smiles on their faces and happy memories. Our event put a pleasant start to Christmas time.
