Important dates for school admission in September 2017

If your child is due to start school for the first time (will be age 4 before 1st September 2017) or due to transfer to a junior, middle, secondary or upper school then it is very important, you make an on time school place application.

Local authorities coordinate the admissions process for all types of schools. To apply, complete the application form provided by your local authority, either online or on paper. To get your child in religious schools, you may need to 'prove' your religious affiliation and commitment, to the extent of getting a letter from the priest.

Starting School Application process opens on 1st September 2016.
Deadline for primary admissions 15th January 2017
Deadline for secondary admissions 31st October 2016

and choose the page Apply to Start School or Apply to Transfer School.
