Now recruiting Community translators and interpreters

Are you a freelance translator and/or interpreter? Are you interested in working for a registered charity to help in local communities? If so, then you might be interested in one of our multilingual vacancies.

Freelance interpreters or translators

We have a number of multilingual vacancies and are looking for
• A post-graduate qualification in translation/interpretation
• A degree in a different subject plus at least 2 years' experience in translation/interpretation
(We occasionally accept experience in lieu of qualifications – each case would be considered individually)
• Ideally we are looking for community interpreters, that is people who know about the welfare rights system, and also UK school and pre-school systems.

Preference will be given to freelancers registered with professional bodies (UK or international) such as: Chartered Institute of Linguists, Institute of Translation and Interpreting, Association of Police and Court Interpreters etc.
All successful applicants would require an enhanced DBS check (at a cost of £55).
